Unfortunately (unfortunately.app) is a community platform where job seekers log and celebrate their job rejections.
We collect information you voluntarily submit: your display name, company name, role applied for, rejection type, and any rejection quotes you choose to share. We also collect basic analytics data including country, device type, and pages visited to help us improve the app. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Your submitted rejections are displayed publicly in the community feed. Analytics data is used only to understand how the app is used. Email addresses are used only to send the weekly rejection roundup newsletter.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties except our infrastructure providers (Lovable, Supabase, Anthropic) who process data on our behalf.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. If you submitted a rejection and want it removed, contact us and we will delete it within 7 days.
Rejection quotes may be processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate humorous plain-English translations. To opt out, contact us.
